Jazz at Lincoln Concert

Ever wonder what Ozzy Osbourne's music would
be like if he pursued jazz instead of metal? Attendees of last nights annual
"Jazz At Lincoln" concert at Lincoln High School found out just that. Lee
Caldwell, Lincoln High's band director, and his Junior High Jazz Band
performed Ozzy's famous "Crazy Train" with a twist that Roger Holmes made
famous in "The Osbournes" theme song. Other hits included "Girl From Ipanema,"
"Autumn Leaves" and "Linus & Lucy."
Lincoln High School actually has three jazz
bands. Jazz Ensemble I is made up of Juniors and Seniors from the Blue Band.
Jazz Ensemble II is made up of Freshmen and Sophomores from the Blue Band.
Jazz Ensemble III consists of the 7th and 8th graders in the Junior High
Band.
