The 5th Annual
Fall Fest & Car Cruise and Show on Lawrence Avenue, took place this past
Saturday drawing many locals and out of town visitors to Ellwood City's
Lawrence Avenue and business district. Hundreds of people walked about
the all-day festival that stretched for nearly 10 blocks lined with classic
cars, merchant tents, and for the first time a Kid's Korner.
There was a live
performance by Kelsey Wilson and Johnny Angel and the Halo’s that took place
in McElwain Motors parking lot. The live performance was a large draw as
parking spots were at a premium and the blocked off area was packed with
Halo enthusiasts.
Lead performer
Jack "Johnny Angel" Hunt said of the Ellwood City Fall Festival, "It was
real cool driving in here today, I've been to Ellwood City quite a few times
on the main street.. Today is like a throwback which is really cool. I never
expected this many cars, people are extremely friendly." This past
Saturday was a brisk, but sunny day and with gusts of fall in the air
Ellwood City and its Fall Festival embraced the change of season.
"It's a cold day but everyone is ready to rock and roll and that's what
we're here for," Johnny Angel added.
