Softball and baseball signups now Wednesday, February 10, 2010 9:25 AM - Interested in playing slow-pitch softball or baseball in the Ellwood City or Riverside area? If so, mark the calendar so you don’t miss the sign up dates this month. The Ellwood City Girls Softball League began slow-pitch softball sign-ups on Saturday. Sign-ups will continue during the next two Saturdays in February (Feb. 13 and 20) from 9 a.m. to noon each day at the Ellwood City McDonalds. The slow-pitch league is for girls aged 4 to 18 that live in the Ellwood City Area School District. Also, any girl who lives outside the district and does not have a slow-pitch league can sign up. Prices for the league are designated into four different age groups with a fundraiser in addition to the price: • T-Ball is for ages 4, 5, and 6, and is $35 • Instructional League is for ages 7 and 8, and is $50 • Lil Angels is for ages 9-12, and is $50 • Youth League is for ages 13-18, and is $50 All other information can be obtained by calling 724-752-9462. ________________________________________ Additionally, the Riverside Baseball Federation began sign-ups for the 2010 season. Anyone ages 5 through 18 (as of April 30th, Colt and Legion as of December 31) who reside in the Riverside School District can sign up from 9:00 a.m. to noon February 13 at the Riverside High School gymnasium hallway.
